ISC challenge

This weeks challenge on ISC is hosted by Sue and she gave us a really cool sketch to work with. I used another one of my new Stamping Bella stamps, this time "Ruby and Rose". I also used my new CB Textile embossing folder. The pp is Papermania and the ribbon is Anita's.

PCMB challenge

Judy gave us a fantastic sketch to work with this week. I loved using it and I'm going to use it tons more :)
I went to a craft show in Athlone on Sunday and I bought lots of new goodies and did a "colouring with Stamping Bella class", which was soooo much fun! I learned so much in that hour long class!
So for my card for Judy's challenge, I used lots of new goodies, Papermania pp, gem & ribbon, Stamping Bella - Emma stamp, Coredination cs and Victoria CB embossing folder. I just love new goodies! :)

Naughty but nice :)

This weeks challenge on the recipe card challenge blog is to make a breakfast recipe card. I had to go with one of my favourite recipes, it's great for breakfast or just about any other time of the day! But be warned it is naughty, NOT diet food! There is no harm treating yourself every now and then though! When you do, this choco-banana toastie is just perfect :)
I used DCWV pp, D'vine swirls CB folder, Papermania button and a flower from my lovely friend Tasia.

Peachy Keen stamp challenge

I made this card using this weeks Peachy Keen stamp challenge sketch. The Peachy Keen blog is also taking part in it's first blog hop so why not pop over and join in the fun!

Cuttlebug challenge #50

This weeks challenge on the Cuttlebug blog was to make a centerpiece for our party. For my "cupcake decorating party" I painted a vase (tomato tin) with white acrylic paint. I then added strips of pp to the top and bottom and used a tag, the same as the one I had used on my cupcake, take-home box. I cut, embossed and sanded the cuttlebug cupcake stamp and stuck them on, to the front of vanilla scented candles.

Have a great weekend :)

Another Christmas card

Sue is hosting this weeks challenge on the PCMB .Our challenge was to make a card using lots of sparkle, a decorative edge and NO stamped images. Instead of a stamped image I used a handmade flower made from tissue paper and outline stickers for the greeting. I also used BasicGrey pp, CB Swiss dots embossing folder (on the green strip),Papermania gems, gold ribbon & Colorbox ink and last weeks Mojo Monday sketch. I'm also entering this card into the BasicGrey embossing challenge and this weeks recycle challenge (recycle and re-use something to use on your card, I recycled tissue paper for the flower) on ISC.

Cuttlebug Blog Challenge Week 3

For the third week of the Cuttlebug birthday party palooza we were asked to create a mini album to go along with our party theme. As my theme is "cupcake decorating party" I thought it would be nice to make a little cupcake frosting recipe book. I cut some Bazzill Coredinations CS to 3x5 inches. I embossed the cover page and lightly sanded it. I added a title, ribbon, a Studio G stamped cupcake and added some dimensional glaze to it. For the recipe pages I just added some embossed strips of CS and some punched flowers, which made it nice and simple to put together. This is still a work in progress as I want to add a lot more recipes to it :)

Thanks for visiting and have a great day :)

Simon Says Oriental

The theme for this weeks Simon say stamp challenge is Oriental. Although I love all things Oriental I only had one stamp that fit the challenge, a cherry blossom stamp. I used the script embossing folder for the BG and dabbed a gold ink pad over it. For the fan, I used a little strip of blue embossed card, folded it into a fan shape and then threaded some gold thread through the bottom to close it.

Christmas Muffins

I LOVE recipe swaps! These 6x6 recipe cards are for a Christmas/Winter recipe swap hosted by Amy/All night Scrapper on ISC
This recipe is soooo yummy! The muffins smell and taste like Christmas :) I can't wait to get everyone's recipe's back, I always get so excited about recipe swaps!
I got the trusty Studio G cupcake stamps out again for this project! I also used Doodlebug pp, Hampton Art snowflake stamp, gold ribbon and the Bow Easy tool. The recipe sits in a pocket on the card and as the recipe is kind of long, I put the ingredients on the front and the method on the back.

Last weeks PCMB challenge

Last weeks (yes I'm only getting around to posting this now!) PCMB challenge was hosted by the lovely Tasia D. This was Tasia's first time hosting a challenge and what a great hostess she is :) The challenge was to make a card using black, white and a colour of your choice, a sentiment and at least one non-pp. I used the Script embossing folder, Doodlebug pp, Papermania glasses stamp, Hampton Art congratulations stamp, silver ribbon and the Bow Easy tool.
Last night I found out I had won this challenge! I can't believe I won :) and I have an amazing prize package flying over to me! :) YEAY!!!!!!!

Cuttlebug, PCMB and Sunflowers and Dragonflies challenge

The challenge for this week on the Cuttlebug blog is to make a bag, box or card to go along with your chosen party theme. I decided to make a take-out box that a cupcake could be taken home in, as my theme is "cupcake decorating party". I made up the box (I traced around an old take-out box and cut it out) and then stamped polka dots on it using a pink Dauber Duo. I then stamped a Studio G "cupcakes forever" stamp, edged it with green ink, mounted it on pink cardstock and added some punched flowers to it. For the top of the box I made a tag that acts as a seal to close the box using a green Making Memories tag, a Studio G cupcake stamp, glitter, dimensional gloss and finished it with ribbon.

I made this card for three challenges, for the Cuttlebug challenge, The S and D sweet tooth challenge and I used Tara's sketch for the challenge on the PCMB. My Studio G stamps are really getting a good work out :) I loved this sketch so much that I'm going to try and get a LO done this week with the sketch too! I used the Swiss dots folder for the BG and some really cool pp that I got free with a craft magazine called "Crafts Beautiful" a while back. The ribbon is by Anita's.

Thanks for visiting and have a happy crafting day :)

Mojo Monday 103 - Recycle re-use!

For this weeks Mojo Monday sketch card, I used a cool technique using a coke can, that I found on the Cuttlebug blog. If you haven't tried this technique yet, you have too! The results are amazing, can't wait to try it with the rest of my folders :) I embossed the strips of can using the Mesh embossing folder and stuck them down with strong double sided tape. I have had the pp so long that I no longer remember what company it is by! I used CK Becky font (downloaded from Creating Keepsakes) for the Happy Birthday greeting and finished the card off with a strip of silver ribbon.

Mime Artist

One of my eldest son's favourite things to do on a rainy day, is to put on some face paints and become a mime for a few hours! He keeps us just as much entertained as he does himself. I wanted to keep this LO nice and simple and keep the focus on the photos, so just went with a black, white and grey colour scheme. I used the CB Sript embossing folder to give the cardstock some texture and then dressed it up a bit with some scalloped card and some Making Memories epoxy buttons. The title is Papermania foam letter stickers.

A challenge from Queen Mariah

Queen Mariah asked us to make a tag with layers, embellishments and fibres, or an ATC with the theme, "kid fun" or a window card. I decided to make a tag for my mother that I could use on a card for her. I traced around a tag, cut it out and then ran it through the Cuttlebug in the Birds and Swirls embossing folder (thanks Vicky/Lavenderblue!) I then dabbed a Colorbox bronze ink pad over it, added a strip of Basic Grey pp and some ribbon, added some Studio 112 stickers (Thanks Robin!) and used Making Memories stickers to spell out "Mam" and finished it off with some green ribbon.

Thanks for visiting :)

Cupcake party

I made this card using Pene's sketch on the PCMB and for the Cuttlebug blog's 1st birthday celebration. The theme I chose for my card is cupcake decorating party. I used Papermania and Studio G clear stamps, Cuttlebug and Swiss dots embossing folder, ribbon and bow easy tool and some glitter to decorate the cupcakes.

Thanks for stopping by and have a great weekend :)
