Dots and stripes

Today I thought I would make a start on my Christmas cards. It's not very summery out, so why not?
I seen on Michele's blog that the Christmas card challenges blog were having a dots and stripes challenge and this weeks challenge on ISC is to use spots, perfect! I love spots and stripes, my two favourite kinds of paper! I also used this weeks Sketch Saturdays sketch.

A different fold....

Hello all!
We are at the start of a long weekend here, which means no school or work on Monday! I'm really looking forward to a few lie-ins and maybe a pyjama day! Simple pleasures :)
Today I have a card that I made for the "different fold" card challenge on ISC. I think this is a gate fold? I can never remember! I used an Angie Delarie digi, I just <3 this image!

Thanks for stopping by and have a great weekend!

Some frog cards

Hi everyone, I hope you are all enjoying the weekend.
It's my little man's 8th birthday tomorrow so I have been preparing for that, cake is made, presents are wrapped and his cards are ready. I did get some time to do some crafting over the last few days though and I got these two cards made for Faith's fantasy challenge on I.S.C

There's a bit of a frog theme going on!

Enjoy the rest of the weekend!

After months of hibernation, I think I'm finally back! This is my second card this week!!!! I know, shock, horror! I really need to get stuck into the Christmas cards so I made this one for Just Magnolia's holiday fun.

I also used Jenny's recipe challenge on ISC - 3 different pp, 2 different coloured cs, 3 different embellishments, ribbon & a stamped image.

Hope you're all having a great weekend and thanks for stopping by :)

A different fold....

Here's a card I made for the challenge over on Digital Tuesday - try a different fold and use a digi image.  The challenge over on ISC is to make a tri-fold card, so it's a two in one challenge card! The cute elephant image is a Dustin Pike image, I have collected lots of his images over the last few months but I'm only getting around to using them now. So I'm sure over the next few weeks you'll be seeing a lot more of his great images here!

Shabby Chic

I hope you are all having a good Sunday. The challenge over on Simon says stamp is shabby chic. I haven't done much of this style before so I hope this is ok! I went for a blue theme for the challenge on ISC, which was to make a monochromatic card using your favourite colour. I also used a few of my favourite products; the Script CB embossing folder, Coredinations card, flower, bling and of course a Stamping Bella stamp!

One card for three challenges

I just had to try out some of my new goodies that I received from my sweet friend Lisa :) The  embossing folder (Stamping Up/Sizzix, petals a plenty) that I used on this card is one of them and I love it! Thank you Lisa! The image is a digi from There's magic in the air and the pp is by Papermania. The challenges that I'm entering this card to, are:

The sentiment stamp is by Carolyn King for Gina k designs, both fibres are Kars and I used the snowflakes Cuttlebug embossing folder.

ISC World card making day challenge

Katherine/Dokis challenged us to make a card for WCMD and as WCMD is celebrated internationally, we were asked to make a card using the theme of "the country of our heritage/birth or where we live". This was the perfect opportunity for me to try out my new Goodluck Bella stamp! I used the colours of the Irish flag for my pp (Papermania) and  cs. The green cs is embossed with the CB Victoria folder, the flower is Prima and the brad was a gift.

If you would like to see another Irish themed card, please stop by my lovely friend Kathy's blog. Kathy is in Australia and made a beautiful Irish flag card for WCMD. Please stop by her blog, it is full of beautiful and inspiring cards, you will love everyone of them.

Thanks for visiting and hope you all had a great WCMD  :)

Christmas Muffins

I LOVE recipe swaps! These 6x6 recipe cards are for a Christmas/Winter recipe swap hosted by Amy/All night Scrapper on ISC
This recipe is soooo yummy! The muffins smell and taste like Christmas :) I can't wait to get everyone's recipe's back, I always get so excited about recipe swaps!
I got the trusty Studio G cupcake stamps out again for this project! I also used Doodlebug pp, Hampton Art snowflake stamp, gold ribbon and the Bow Easy tool. The recipe sits in a pocket on the card and as the recipe is kind of long, I put the ingredients on the front and the method on the back.

A challenge from Queen Mariah

Queen Mariah asked us to make a tag with layers, embellishments and fibres, or an ATC with the theme, "kid fun" or a window card. I decided to make a tag for my mother that I could use on a card for her. I traced around a tag, cut it out and then ran it through the Cuttlebug in the Birds and Swirls embossing folder (thanks Vicky/Lavenderblue!) I then dabbed a Colorbox bronze ink pad over it, added a strip of Basic Grey pp and some ribbon, added some Studio 112 stickers (Thanks Robin!) and used Making Memories stickers to spell out "Mam" and finished it off with some green ribbon.

Thanks for visiting :)
