Miss Kitty

Here is "Miss Kitty", this weeks free image on There's magic in the air. The added challenge was to use stripes, so I used some DCWV pp and I also used my dear friend Chris's sketch for this weeks PCMB challenge.

This cute stamp called "Bronson star gazing" is a digi from Tales from Pollycraft. I used Barbara's sketch for this weeks PCMB challenge and Robin's colour challenge - light blue, light green and white on ISC. The sentiment stamp is by Carolyn King for Gina k designs, both fibres are Kars and I used the snowflakes Cuttlebug embossing folder.

Skating by....

My friend Judy is hostess for this weeks challenge on the PCMB. She asked us to make a Christmas card using a non traditional image or non traditional colours. Lucky for me there was a few days added to the challenge so I got to play along. I used a digi image from There's Magic In The Air, some pp from my friend Patti, silver card, D'vine swirls Cuttlebug folder and Papermania ribbon and snow stamp.  I'm also submitting this card for these challenges:

There's magic in the air - skating by digi stamp with reflective material

Simon says stamp - animal antics

Thanksgiving card

This is the first Thanksgiving card that I have ever made, as we don't celebrate Thanksgiving in Ireland. That said I have a lot to be thankful for, my hubby being one, so I am going to give it to him. This weeks challenge on the PCMB is hosted by Sue and she challenged us to make a Thanksgiving card with a turkey, pilgrim or cornucopia on it. I got a beautiful digi image from There's magic in the air, and their challenge was to use the cornucopia image and a button. I also used this weeks Mojo Monday sketch, Papermania pp, button & gems and Victoria Cuttlebug EF.

PCMB challenge

Judy gave us a fantastic sketch to work with this week. I loved using it and I'm going to use it tons more :)
I went to a craft show in Athlone on Sunday and I bought lots of new goodies and did a "colouring with Stamping Bella class", which was soooo much fun! I learned so much in that hour long class!
So for my card for Judy's challenge, I used lots of new goodies, Papermania pp, gem & ribbon, Stamping Bella - Emma stamp, Coredination cs and Victoria CB embossing folder. I just love new goodies! :)

Another Christmas card

Sue is hosting this weeks challenge on the PCMB .Our challenge was to make a card using lots of sparkle, a decorative edge and NO stamped images. Instead of a stamped image I used a handmade flower made from tissue paper and outline stickers for the greeting. I also used BasicGrey pp, CB Swiss dots embossing folder (on the green strip),Papermania gems, gold ribbon & Colorbox ink and last weeks Mojo Monday sketch. I'm also entering this card into the BasicGrey embossing challenge and this weeks recycle challenge (recycle and re-use something to use on your card, I recycled tissue paper for the flower) on ISC.

Last weeks PCMB challenge

Last weeks (yes I'm only getting around to posting this now!) PCMB challenge was hosted by the lovely Tasia D. This was Tasia's first time hosting a challenge and what a great hostess she is :) The challenge was to make a card using black, white and a colour of your choice, a sentiment and at least one non-pp. I used the Script embossing folder, Doodlebug pp, Papermania glasses stamp, Hampton Art congratulations stamp, silver ribbon and the Bow Easy tool.
Last night I found out I had won this challenge! I can't believe I won :) and I have an amazing prize package flying over to me! :) YEAY!!!!!!!

Cuttlebug, PCMB and Sunflowers and Dragonflies challenge

The challenge for this week on the Cuttlebug blog is to make a bag, box or card to go along with your chosen party theme. I decided to make a take-out box that a cupcake could be taken home in, as my theme is "cupcake decorating party". I made up the box (I traced around an old take-out box and cut it out) and then stamped polka dots on it using a pink Dauber Duo. I then stamped a Studio G "cupcakes forever" stamp, edged it with green ink, mounted it on pink cardstock and added some punched flowers to it. For the top of the box I made a tag that acts as a seal to close the box using a green Making Memories tag, a Studio G cupcake stamp, glitter, dimensional gloss and finished it with ribbon.

I made this card for three challenges, for the Cuttlebug challenge, The S and D sweet tooth challenge and I used Tara's sketch for the challenge on the PCMB. My Studio G stamps are really getting a good work out :) I loved this sketch so much that I'm going to try and get a LO done this week with the sketch too! I used the Swiss dots folder for the BG and some really cool pp that I got free with a craft magazine called "Crafts Beautiful" a while back. The ribbon is by Anita's.

Thanks for visiting and have a happy crafting day :)

Cupcake party

I made this card using Pene's sketch on the PCMB and for the Cuttlebug blog's 1st birthday celebration. The theme I chose for my card is cupcake decorating party. I used Papermania and Studio G clear stamps, Cuttlebug and Swiss dots embossing folder, ribbon and bow easy tool and some glitter to decorate the cupcakes.

Thanks for stopping by and have a great weekend :)

PCMB challenge

The challenge for this week is to make a card, ATC or scrapbook LO using a farm theme. Kari asked us to use a farm animal, at least one embellishment and a sentiment. I have been meaning to scrap this photo since May, of my son's end of year school tour to a pet farm. Without weekly challenges, I would never get anything done :)

Last weeks challenge (that I did but never got around to posting) was a sketch challenge hosted by Barbara. This sketch was lots of fun to use. I used my new Inkadinkado stamp, I just love the cute but crazy looking little dog!

ISC & PCMB challenges

This weeks challenge on ISC is hosted by Cheryl/Polarbear and the theme for the challenge is "something old, something new, something borrowed, something blue" . We were to use at least 2 of the somethings. I hadn't made a wedding card in a long time so said why not? I used an old Anita's stamp, blue DCWV pp, prima flower and Versa color ink and a new Hampton art congratulations stamp.

The theme for the PCMB challenge hosted by Sue/Weedsgalore is Africa/Safari. I put more of my African textile pp to use along with some wooden beads and an African quote that I really like.

Hope you all have a great day :)

What a week!

This week I had the honour of being crowned "Queen of the week" at ISC by the lovely Cheryl/Polarbear! This is the ATC that Cheryl chose to make me Queen.

My sister was hosting an "Around the world" ATC swap (your favourite place to visit, the town where you live etc) and I wasn't sure where I wanted to do, so I tried out a few different places. A friend had told me that she may be going to Africa for a few months and I remembered I had some African pp that I had bought way back so she inspired me to come up with this ATC. I also made a Chinese ATCbut realised I didn't have enough supplies to make 9 for the swap. In the end I did Paris, it's the obvious choice as it's my favourite place in the whole world! I downloaded a map, greyscaled it and antiqued it and I think it makes the perfect background. I also used an Eiffel tower stamp that I bought in Paris, an X-cut flower punch, ribbon and some Papermania gems.

To top off my week I found out today that I had won "The Christmas in July" challenge hosted by my lovely friend Susan on the Paper crafts MB, how great is that! It's been one exciting week!

Thanks for stopping by and have a great weekend!

Mojo Monday and Christmas in July!

Here is a card I created for this weeks Mojo Monday sketch challenge 94. I love this sketch and I know I am going to use it many more times. There is a challenge going on the PCMB board called Christmas in July. It's a great idea to get us started on our Christmas cards early and also to be entered into a draw to win a prize! Every card you make qualifies, the more you make the more chances you have to win :) So I thought I would make a card that I could use for both challenges. I used Doodlebug pp, Hampton Art stamp, Colorbox inks, Prima flower and CB embossed paper (thanks Patti!).

Thanks for stopping by!
