Mojo Monday week 102

For this weeks Mojo Monday challenge I used my new Inkadinkado snowman stamp that I received from my lovely friend Cheryl/Polarbear, isn't he cute? I also used my new Bow Easy (love this tool!) and ribbon that I got from my very kind friend Susan, from the Christmas in July challenge, my Cuttlebug (obviously, heehee!) and the tiny bubbles embossing folder, Versa mark atlantic ink and some glitter around the snowman to add a bit of sparkle!

Hope you all have a lovely day :)

Cuttlebug love!

I was so thrilled to get my Cuttlebug this week that I had to mark the occassion with a scrapbook page :) I used sketch 27 from The scrappiest blog, if you haven't been there before stop by as there are some fantastic sketches to try out. I used Daisy D pp that I have had for forever, Papermania letter stickers, a cool font called SS Fun, that I downloaded from Creating Keepsakes, cardstock and of course my Cuttlebug and the spots and dots embossing folder.

Have a great weekend!

Cool freebies

I just found a site called Vale design that has lots of cool free printable goodies such as recipe cards, golf treats for your hubby, address labels, shopping & blog lists , tab folders and seed packet instructions (perfect for a gardener friend).
Enjoy!

Queen Nikki's challenge

Queen Nikki asked us to make a card that included the colours orange, yellow and brown. I used some of my new Cuttlebug folders (Swiss dots & Birds & swirls), a sunflower sticker and some brown ribbon. I hope the Queen likes!

PCMB challenge

The challenge for this week is to make a card, ATC or scrapbook LO using a farm theme. Kari asked us to use a farm animal, at least one embellishment and a sentiment. I have been meaning to scrap this photo since May, of my son's end of year school tour to a pet farm. Without weekly challenges, I would never get anything done :)

Last weeks challenge (that I did but never got around to posting) was a sketch challenge hosted by Barbara. This sketch was lots of fun to use. I used my new Inkadinkado stamp, I just love the cute but crazy looking little dog!

Simon says stamp and Mojo Monday

This weeks Simon says stamp challenge is to make a Christmas card so I combined the challenge with this weeks Mojo Monday sketch. I used some of my beautiful new Basic Grey pp, that I won in the Christmas in July challenge (thanks Susan!) on the PCMB. I also used a Cuttlebug Swiss dots folder, Colorbox cranberry ink, ribbon and a Papermania flower and pearl gem.

Thanks for stopping by!

Some new layouts

My first new LO is of Blarney castle in Cork. We went to Cork for our anniversary in April. Although it rained for the whole weekend, we had a perfect holiday and Blarney castle was definately one of the highlights. For this LO I used a sketch from my August '09 Creating Keepsakes magazine, Doodlebug pp, Making memories journaling stamp, Prima flowers (thank you Vicky!), Karen Foster Blarney sticker and some gems and ribbon.

My second LO is of this years Easter egg hunt. We always have an egg hunt for the boys, but this year it rained so we hid clues and eggs around the house for them. I don't get to use much pink on my layouts as I mainly do LO's of my husband, 2 boys or holidays, so I thought if there was a LO that I could use pink on it was Easter and I think I pulled it off without making it too girly! I really liked Becky's sketch from the CK September '09 issue so I used one side of the sketch, Doodlebug pp, Papermania ribbon, letter stickers, buttons and flowers, the Easter bunny is from Paper bliss that I got a few years ago when we went to Chicago.

Dianne is giving away some blog candy on her Paper hugs blog so please stop by and leave her a comment

Hope you all have a lovely weekend and thanks for visiting :)

Mojo Monday 99

I combined this weeks Mojo Monday sketch with Queen Lavenderblue/Vicky's pink challenge on ISC to come up with this card. A good friend hasn't been feeling the best lately and I'm hoping this card will help brighten her day. I used pink and green Colorbox ink, white gel pen for the stitching, glitter glue to edge the get well sign and foam pads to raise it, All Night Media get well soon stamp, ribbon, and the PP and button were a gift.

Hope you all have a great day :)

ISC & PCMB challenges

This weeks challenge on ISC is hosted by Cheryl/Polarbear and the theme for the challenge is "something old, something new, something borrowed, something blue" . We were to use at least 2 of the somethings. I hadn't made a wedding card in a long time so said why not? I used an old Anita's stamp, blue DCWV pp, prima flower and Versa color ink and a new Hampton art congratulations stamp.

The theme for the PCMB challenge hosted by Sue/Weedsgalore is Africa/Safari. I put more of my African textile pp to use along with some wooden beads and an African quote that I really like.

Hope you all have a great day :)

What a week!

This week I had the honour of being crowned "Queen of the week" at ISC by the lovely Cheryl/Polarbear! This is the ATC that Cheryl chose to make me Queen.

My sister was hosting an "Around the world" ATC swap (your favourite place to visit, the town where you live etc) and I wasn't sure where I wanted to do, so I tried out a few different places. A friend had told me that she may be going to Africa for a few months and I remembered I had some African pp that I had bought way back so she inspired me to come up with this ATC. I also made a Chinese ATCbut realised I didn't have enough supplies to make 9 for the swap. In the end I did Paris, it's the obvious choice as it's my favourite place in the whole world! I downloaded a map, greyscaled it and antiqued it and I think it makes the perfect background. I also used an Eiffel tower stamp that I bought in Paris, an X-cut flower punch, ribbon and some Papermania gems.

To top off my week I found out today that I had won "The Christmas in July" challenge hosted by my lovely friend Susan on the Paper crafts MB, how great is that! It's been one exciting week!

Thanks for stopping by and have a great weekend!
